I am so excited about this Sew Along! Today we are going to share our fabric pull and post on Instagram!

I have had a lot of questions about the sew along so here is some more information!

1. Question: Do I need to sign up?
Answer: You don't need to sign up! If you get my emails, you will get the patterns automatically emailed to you on the days that I post the blocks!

2. Question: How much fabric do I need?
Answer: This is truly a scrappy project, so I would recommend diving into those overflowing scrap bins and getting all of your favorite reds, greens, and Christmas prints! I have pulled a few to show you the scale I am using for my prints.  You don't want large scale prints, for this mini quilt.  Stick with smaller/medium scale prints!

As for yardage, I would have at least 1 1/2 yards of background fabric on hand.  I am using my favorite background fabric Bella Solids Off White by Moda.  If you want to use a low volume print, that would look cute too! I would recommend something very low volume, since we are going super scrappy on this one, I wouldn't do something that would take away from your red and green fabrics!

Along with all of your scraps, you will need a 1/2 yard of red fabric.  Pick something that is a smaller scale print!

3. Question: What skill level is this Sew Along?
Answer: We will be using small pieces, but everything will be traditionally pieced.  I would say a confident beginner to the advanced quilter would love this mini quilt!

4: What if I don't have an Instagram account?
Answer: You can still participate! I will be sharing all the posts here in my emails!

5: Do I need any special rulers or tools?
I love to use my 4 1/2" square Frosted Ruler by OLFA. (I have some of these in my Etsy shop if you would like one!) This is the perfect size for squaring up blocks! You will also need a marking pen.

I think that answers all the questions! If you have on that wasn't answered, shoot me an email or message on instagram!  :)

Remember if you are posting your pictures on instagram to use#HappyChristmasSewAlong - so I can see your fabric pulls! :)
