John Wayne Quilt

Hi there! I am excited to share my latest finish with you today! When I found out that Riley Blake was printing John Wayne fabric, I was sooo excited! My husband is a HUGE fan of John Wayne! He has been collecting John Wayne movies since I can remember and I love buying him different John Wayne collectibles! So I was super excited about this fabric!

I kept the quilt simple and used the panel in the collection, so this quilt worked up sooo fast!

Fabric requirements:
1 3/4 yard of red bandana print
5/8 yard of cream text print
1/4 yard of blue silhouette print
1/2 yard of blue bandana print (binding)
2 yards of backing 108" yellow bandana print

Here is what I did:

Center: John Wayne Panel 36" x 43 1/2"

Quilt finishes at: 58" x 64"

I wanted the quilt to be soft and very loosely quilted.  So I did some free motion meandering! I am sure this quilt is going to be well used, so I wanted it to stay super soft!

For backing, I used this fun bandana print by Lori Holt.  It is perfect for this quilt!

I took this up near Snow Canyon State Park and got some fun pictures! Those red rocks are so pretty I thought it would be a cute backdrop for this quilt. :)

My husband loves the quilt and he can't wait to use it!
