Dashing Quilt

Hi there! I am excited to share this cute baby quilt I just finished up! I used the most darling fabric called Rhapsody by Sedef Imer for Riley Blake Designs.  It is so bright and cheery! You are going to LOVE this collection!

I wanted to use one of my new quilt patterns called - "Dashing" for my project.  I thought it would be fun to share the baby size quilt with you guys! I went way out of my comfort zone here and used a blush linen from Riley Blake as my background fabric! I am sooo glad I tried this out because it looks sooo cute to have the soft pink in the background!

I also wanted to try a Woven Gingham for my back and I LOVE how it feels on the back of this quilt.   Wovens have a very soft feel and a fabulous drape! It is perfect for a summer quilt!

I quilted it with a denser pattern called "Quilt Full of Posies" - I though the small flowers with leaves echoed what was in the fabric.  It turned out great and also gives it an incredible texture.

I love doing scrappy bindings, so for this quilt I used my leftover 2 1/2" strips and did a really fun scrappy binding! It turned out so cute!

I really enjoyed using this cute and happy fabric! I can't wait to see what you guys decide to make with it!

Be sure to follow Sedef  and Riley Blake for more Rhapsody inspiration! :)
